Claws!

Get your claws out ladies!

The latest look for nails is the almond nails trend, also known as stiletto nails.
However, stiletto nails do appear a little slimmer and longer in length.
This new set of claws has taken away from the ever popular sqaure nails and has been seen on so many celebrities and beauty gurus.

Although the nails appear quite long and confronting at first, many have said that they are actually easier to work with then previous acrylic shapes, as well as having the benefit to frame the fingers much nicer.

This particular style has also lended itself to many nail art trends, with the option to dress the nails according to your outfit.

So if you're daring, trendy and fashionable, give these almonds a go.

Make-Up Must Have : Too Faced La Creme Color Drenched Lip Cream

Over the Easter holiday, along with mountains of chocolate eggs I was given the Too Faced La Creme Color Drenched Lip Cream in the colour Nude Beach (Mecca Maxima: $31.95 AUD).

With just a few uses I have fallen in love with this Too Faced product!
Looking at it I first thought it was a lipstick, however once applying the product the lip cream name made more sense. Shaped like a lipstick the lip cream is smooth to apply and appears more like a lip gloss on your lips, leaving a nude shine. The reason I love this product is because I have always loved nude lip glosses but hated the sticky feeling. This lip cream feels like a mixture between a lipgloss and a lipstick, without any sticky residue.

I also love the packaging, it's completely gold and feels so luxurious.
It is a little bit pricier than drugstore make-up but it's well worth it!

It's All About Exfoliation!

Everyone wants glowing, healthy skin but sometimes the elements tend to leave it dry and unpleasant. Whether dried out by the winter winds, or needing some TLC due to the overexposure to the summer sun, exfoliating is one of the most important beauty routines in order to keep our skin looking and feeling brand new.

Here are some tried and tested exfoliators for your face and body:

Face Exfoliators -

Facial exfoliators are extremely important due to the skin on our face constantly changing, resulting in blemishes and dryness. The skin on our face is also the most delicate and needs to be treated with care, therefore using an exfoliator specifically formulated for the face is key.

I love St.Ives Facial Blemish Control Scrub ($9.99 AUD - http://www.priceline.com.au/).

This face scrub has an apricot fragrance and a mixture of granules that are smooth when applying unlike several other face scrubs that can be harsh. Although I use the facial blemish formula to treat any breakouts, St.Ives also makes a face srub for normal skin.

Lip Scrub -

Lips crack, become dry and can be chapped. As a result lip scrubs have become much more popular in recent years. Just like your face, lips need to be exfoliated in order to remove any dead skin and create blood flow for a pink and natural complexion.

I love Victoria's Secret PRO Smooth FX Lip Scrub & Balm ($16.00 AUD - http://www.victoriassecret.com/).

This duo pot contains a lip scrub to gently buff and exfoliate the lips, as well as lip balm to sooth them afterwards.

Body Exfoliators -

The skin is the largest organ of the human body and therefore we need to keep it healthy.

I love The Body Shop Mango Body Scrub ($27.95 AUD - http://www.thebodyshop.com.au/).

Personally I get dry legs and this body scrub leaves my skin looking and feeling amazing. Using an exfoliating glove I apply the scrub onto my skin and buff it in using circular motions and follow it up by washing it off with warm water.

What are your favourite exfoliating products?
